Roastin' Mallows

A couple weekends ago, we decided to roast marshmallows over a fire in the backyard (we build a fire about every 2 weeks). We had the Franchi kids over and it was so fun. The kids all looked so cute sitting on this log together, and they loved roasting the mallows.
We do a babysitting trade with Sarah & Jeremiah Franchi, and it is the greatest thing! I just love it. We take each other's kids every other Saturday; which means Jon & I get to go on a date twice a month. It has been so wonderful. The kids get along really well. And I have to say, I just love Sarah; she is the sweetest friend and so thoughtful. She listens so well and has such a cute sense of humor. She and Emily Hoisington and I are going for a Girl's Night Out tomorrow and I can't wait! It's been way too long since I've done anything like that. It's amazing how much more you can learn about your friends when you're not constantly being interrupted or distracted by your kids. (Oh yes, I do love my kids - but it's fun to find the ME part of "Mommy" every now and then!)

(Eeeek! There's a bug in Eldon's hair!)
