Woodland Park Zoo

We went to the Woodland Park Zoo today. It was the coolest zoo I have ever been to. All the trails are surrounded by vines and huge gorgeous trees and plants. It is so lush there. It helped that we went on a kinda rainy day (although it was still warm). There were no crowds and most of the animals were very visible and active. We loved the gorilla and orangutan exhibits. There was a new baby gorilla that was smaller than Eldon and so cute. And the orangutans - well, you can see the pictures - they were just fun! There was also a tropical rain forest and aviary that we didn't get any photos of b/c it was so warm in there that our lens got fogged up. But it had the coolest blue frogs and some tropical birds that Eldon loved. The butterfly exhibit had a bunch of cocoons and Eve got to watch a butterfly emerge from one, which totally fascinated her. Jon thought the Wild African dogs were great. It was a lot of fun for all of us. I highly recommend going if you're a zoo fan.
