Gingerbread Houses

It's a tradition in my family to make gingerbread houses each year at Christmas time. My mom bought these great gingerbread house kits on sale for a buck each last Christmas and kept them in the freezer til this year - a perfect solution for anyone who doesn't plan on eating their house (does anybody actually do that?). They went together great and were so fun to decorate. Eldon ate so much candy we thought he'd be sick. But he'd occasionally stick an M&M on the house and say "Yook-it! Yook-it!" until we all admired his work. It was so funny. Eve and Jon did a beautiful job decorating every square inch of the house. My brother, Landon, made the cute snowman below. So fun. Aren't traditions the best?
