Happy Independence Day!

We had a fun 4th of July that started on the 3rd with a sleepover at Nana and Papa's house. Papa showed us a movie about the flag in the morning and then let the kids help him raise the flag and say the Pledge of Allegiance. I love the Pledge and always have. We then had a fun day of playing in the pool.
We joined my family for the Sandy City fireworks. It was a great show and we were glad we stayed for it (thought about going home b/c both kids were scared of the sound - luckily, Jon brought his noise-cancelling earphones and let the kids wear them. That seemed to do the trick). GeeGee bought the traditional glow sticks for them, just like she did when I was a kid. So cool. What a fabulous holiday for our country.
