Eve is 5 years old!

Our little sweetheart just turned 5! What joy this cute girl has brought to our lives. Eve is such an amazing girl. She has an incredible memory, is great at teaching (and mothering) her brother, loves to be with her daddy, and is entertained for hours on end by holding a puppy or picking dried Elmer's glue off her hands. She is starting to read really well, and is so incredibly smart. I love watching her grit her teeth when she is coddling our dog, and giggle at something she finds funny. I love hearing her hilarious made-up stories when she picks up a book we haven't read before, and listening to her as she grows philosophical on long trips in the car. I love that she and her brother are best friends, even though she won't admit it. I love, especially, her hugs and snuggles, and her "I love you"s. But most of all, I just love HER. Happy birthday, Sweet Eve.
