Uh, so Eve is in love. With a bird. A chicken bird. Well, 6 chickens, to be precise. She is completely infatuated. Obsessed. Head-over-heels. Okay, you get it. Or do you? I cannot express how much this girl loves these birds. You'd have to see it to believe it. I wake up nearly every morning to find her sitting on the couch, reading a book to one of them. She kisses them incessantly. She nuzzles them to her face while gritting her teeth so hard that I'm scared they'll come to the same end as the poor creatures in Of Mice and Men. Just kidding; there is no way she'd ever hurt one of them. But seriously, it's quite entertaining to observe Eve with her little feathered friends. She named them all on her own, except Kiwi, one of our feathered Banty's (mini chickens). Eve named Kiwi's twin PeeWee. Perfect name for a little bird. The others are Star, Big Foot, Whitehead, and Mr. Feathers (who we're hoping is actually a Mrs.).
Oh, Eve, how I hope your future husband likes animals half as much as you do... who knows, he might be sharing a room with a bunch of chickens someday.

Sooooo...you keep chickens in your family room? Lol, I'm just giving you a hard time. What I really want to know is when Eve lost all her hair. I think it's adorable!
Miss you!
Actually, yeah, we did keep them in there when they were really little b/c it was too cold outside. They're in the garage now, but Eve still gets one out every morning... and all day long.
I chopped Eve's hair a while back - my first real haircut, and it ended up much shorter than I had planned. BUT I like it too!
Miss you, too, Mary!
