We kicked off the 4th with a campout in Nana and Papa's backyard (the kids tented it with Papa, while we slept inside - thanks, Papa!). First, though, we did fireworks in their driveway. As you can see from the photos, Eve really loved it. ;)
Nana made a great pancake-sausage-and-eggs breakfast Saturday morning, and we spent the rest of the day entertaining the kids. They had lots of fun playing in the water with their cousins, eating icecream, doing face painting, lighting more fireworks, and so on... we partied hard. But, unfortunately for me, we didn't get to go see the REAL fireworks, which is my favorite part of the fourth. Oh well. We'll catch those next year. Thank you, Papa and Nana, for making it such a fun holiday for all the kids.
