I've been laying in bed for 15 minutes, trying to sleep, but thinking instead of my dear friend, Billie Ochsner.
The friend who nursed me back to health after three months of being VERY sick and pregnant... I didn't even know her. She just showed up one day and was suddenly taking me to doctor appointments and buying my prescriptions for me and letting me and Eve come over to her house every single day just to escape. And when I got better, she let me keep coming.
The friend who shared my love of the Christmas spirit, inviting us over to make gingerbread and sugar cookies, who starts listening to Christmas music in early November and loves all those special Christmas traditions.
The friend who served with me in Young Women's and showed how to love the girls so much that they love you back and want to be like you.
The friend who continues to open her home to me every day, who shares her joys and trials and lets me share mine, who goes shopping at Costco with me and does crafts with me while our kids quarrel :) and play together.
The friend who is most like a sister. I have many, many wonderful friends here. This has been an amazing place to live filled with some of the most loving and genuine friends I've ever known. But Billie has truly become a sister to me. She is moving to Ohio and I am moving to Utah within a few weeks of each other. I don't know what I'll do without my 8:30 am phone calls from her, asking what I'm going to do that day. I am going to miss her, that's what.
I love you, Billie. Here's to a friendship that will last.

What??!!! You're moving to Utah?
I don't know Billie, but that is such an incredibly sweet tribute. She sounds like an amazing friend. When do you move to Utah? I am excited that I will have the chance to see you more often (when we visit Utah), but I'm also sad for you to have to move away from beautiful Washington. You and Jon have sure made the most of your time there. I always love seeing the pictures of your great adventures (and the great scenery!). All the best Sabina. :)
