You may be thinking "What on earth does she mean by that?" Well, those of you who know Jon best will know he's quite the character... but get a load of this:
Okay, so in all fairness, these were photos we took for the annual Backcountry.com beard-growing contest Jon was competing in at work. He had to start on October 15 and couldn't shave until December 18. Boy, that was a long two months. Halfway through the contest, the boss decided to change it to be not how long your beard was, but how creative of a picture you could come up with. Thus the crazed cartoon faces. And thus the if-Jon-were-an-early-Mormon-apostle photo below. :) Jon won a backpacking fly-rod for his photos and beard. Unfortunately, he didn't win the grand-prize: a pair of $600 skis. Guess there's always next year. Just kidding, he promised me he'd never grow a beard again for the rest of his life. :)

I was looking at these photos when Tyler came over and said, "He looks like a cartoon." (That was before he'd read your title or the story that goes with your post). Then we scrolled down and saw the "church leader" photo of Jon. We were laughing SO hard. That was hilarious - and SO the Jon we remember. We can't believe he didn't take 1st prize!!!
I know! He's such a goon sometimes. :) I'll tell him you got a kick out of it!
