On the TWENTY-FIRST day of Christmas

Jon is still sick with the flu, so we packed up and headed for my mom's. I secretly packed the dollhouse, in hopes of finding some elves to help me out with it, too! But all the Bytheway Elves were sick, so I ended up working on it myself, until the Emily and Patrick Elves showed up (my sister and her honey). They painted and sanded and glued til the first story was recognizable and my hopes for getting somewhere on the project were up. Thanks, guys! :)

We read "The Polar Express" by Chris Van Allsburg and "The Legend of the Candy Cane" by Lori Walburg VandenBosch.
Both were fairly good books - ones I wouldn't mind having in my collection, but still not my favorites. At least they weren't lame like some of the others!
