The kids went to my parents' ward Christmas party this morning, where they had breakfast and decorated wooden gingerbread houses that my former bishop made (one for each family in the ward!). They got to sit in Santa's sleigh too! And while they were doing that, I got to do a bit more Christmas shopping.
Jon and Eve went sledding this afternoon at our house, and made a skating rink on the patio.
We went to our ward Christmas party tonight and had a yummy dinner, too.
Jon is now reading "Where did they hide my presents?" to the kids. It's kind of a funny book; just funny new lyrics to familiar holiday tunes. Paired with David Catrow's hilarious artwork, it's a great book - one of Jon's favorites.

Sounds like a wonderful start to the ol' countdown!! I heard about your pipe I'm glad everything worked out - but what a pain in the rump!
Thanks, we're glad it all worked out too! Have you guys been having a good Christmas time? I know you usually dread it, but hope this year's better than most. We need to have you guys over sometime soon!
